Available in .223, 767x34, and 5.45x35mm, the AKS 74 is based off of the wildly successful AKM. As the name suggests, the AKS 74 was developed in 1974, and it was made specifically for motorized troops and air assault infantry. Providing the ultimate in versatility and maneuverability, many models of the AKS 74 come with a foldable butt stock. Some of the specifications of the AKS 74 include:
